Our Conviction
"The ends of the earth will not be reached by those who can afford to go. They will be reached by those who already live there."

Our mission: ENDS equips and supports national pastors to reach the unreached peoples of their own regions — partnering with trusted indigenous ministries to train local leaders, resource their work, and connect them with sponsors who pray for and give to them by name.

The frontier has always belonged to those closest to it. A national pastor speaks the language, knows the land, and cannot be deported. He is not a guest in the harvest — he is the harvest worker. We exist to find him, train him, resource him, and release him to reach his people with the power of the gospel.

Our Name

Two Meanings.
One Mission.

ENDS is where we are going. The ends of the earth — the last clause of the last command Jesus gave before He left.

It is also how we intend to get there. Equipping Nationals, Discipling Shepherds.

What equipping looks like
Twenty-four months. Seventeen modules. In his own language, in his own country, without taking him out of the ministry he is already doing. He is assessed on what he can demonstrate, not what he can recite — can he open a passage he has never seen and teach it truly; can he shepherd a family through a hard season. A conference cannot do that. Only time can.

Why nationals
He is already there. Already fluent, already trusted, already living among the people he is called to reach. He needs no visa, no support letter, and no exit plan. When Burma expelled every foreign missionary in 1966, the national church did not collapse — it grew, and has kept growing for sixty years. That is not a theory. It is the record.

Discipling
What discipling looks like
Not lectures. A man walks with a mentor who knows his name, his household and his weaknesses, and who will tell him the truth about all three. Character is examined before content is added, because a man who can preach and cannot be trusted is a danger to a church rather than a gift to it. It is slow on purpose.

Shepherds, and where they go
Not managers and not celebrities — men who feed and guard a flock they know by name, and who stay. And then they go further out: launching and planting churches in the most remote regions on earth, the valleys and hill villages no outsider is going to reach, led by men who were already from there.

Put the two meanings together and you have the whole of it. The ends of the earth will be reached by equipped nationals, discipled as shepherds, planting churches where no one else will go. That is what our name says, and it is the only strategy we have.

The Mission

Why We Send
Nationals.

Our mission is simple: finish the Great Commission by training the people already standing on the frontier. For two centuries the Western church has sent its own — and God has used them mightily. But the math of the remaining task has changed, and honesty about that math is not a betrayal of missionaries. It is a strategy for finishing what they started.

We honor every Western missionary who has gone. Many of the national churches we now partner with exist because someone crossed an ocean a century ago. What follows is not criticism — it is math.

We work with local field networks to identify called, gifted national leaders already serving in frontier regions. Men and women with fire, with roots, and with the trust of their people. We don't recruit them to leave — we resource them to stay.

Our training is oral, contextual, and delivered in-country. No visa applications. No uprooted families. We bring theological depth and practical church-planting methodology to where they already are — in the languages they already speak.

Release
A trained national pastor is released back into his region with a support network, accountability, and the tools to plant churches and train the next generation of leaders. One investment. Generations of multiplication.

Learns.

It funds this: a 24-month, four-phase formation — oral-first, delivered in-country, in the pastor's own language, shaped alongside partners like SLMIF's Servant Leadership Academy. Every module ends in a demonstrated competency, not a certificate on a wall.

Before a man teaches the Book, the Book must have him. Phase I lays the storyline of Scripture, the gospel itself, and the pastor's own soul as foundations — because the frontier forgives many weaknesses, but not a shallow one.

01The Story of God24 hrs▶
A Creation-to-Christ oral survey of the Old Testament: creation, fall, covenant, exodus, kingdom, exile, and promise. Taught entirely through structured storying so it can be carried without a library and retold around any fire.
CompetencyTell the whole biblical storyline from memory, in the mother tongue, in under an hour — accurately and compellingly.
02The Gospel of the Kingdom24 hrs▶
The life, death, and resurrection of Jesus — and what the gospel actually is. Special attention to distinguishing the gospel from folk religion, prosperity teaching, and syncretism, the three counterfeits most common on the frontier.
CompetencyPresent the gospel clearly to a hearer from a non-Christian background and answer the five most common local objections.
03Conversion, Calling & Character24 hrs▶
The pastor's own testimony, assurance of salvation, and call to ministry — examined honestly with a mentor against the qualifications of 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1. Not everyone continues past this module. That is by design.
CompetencyA written (or recited) testimony and calling statement, affirmed by mentor and home congregation.
04Disciplines of the Shepherd24 hrs▶
Prayer, fasting, Scripture meditation (oral methods), sabbath, and family worship. The habits that keep a man alive spiritually when he is the only believer for a hundred kilometers.
CompetencyA sustained 90-day rule of life, verified through mentor check-ins.
And Then — For Life Graduation ends the curriculum, not the relationship. Every pastor receives monthly mentor visits, an annual regional gathering with his cohort, ongoing access to oral Scripture resources as they are produced, and a standing emergency line to his field network. We train once. We walk together for life.

Servant Leadership Ministry Foundation

Founded and led by Rev. Dr. Yupho Mathusonsawan (Doctor of Leadership, Fuller Theological Seminary), SLMIF exists to bring leaders back to the basics — forming pastors, evangelists, and disciple-makers across Thailand and Southeast Asia, with deep roots in the Karen and Thai church. Four arms carry the work: a 123-hour cohort academy taught by fourteen international faculty, the Karen Bible college founded in 2010, the LTC boarding schools serving children in Chiang Rai, an annual regional conference, and a Frontline Mission arm — led by Pastor Pornsawan Mathusonsawan — whose motto says it all: Find. "Serve Christ by serving others." Mission Impact India works among the unreached villages of Andhra Pradesh and beyond — in a nation of nearly 1,600 languages and more than 2,000 unreached people groups, the largest concentration of gospel need on earth. Led by David Livingstone, the ministry sustains a network of approximately 250 national pastors across India, and its work moves in three motions: rescuing children from trafficking, poverty, and illiteracy; revealing purpose through shelter and care; and restoring hope through the teaching of Scripture.
